Scarlet Anger signed to Metalville Records
The longtime Luxembourgish thrashers are happy to officially announce that they have signed a new record deal with Metalville Records:
German label founded in 2008 by Chris Boltendahl (singer and songwriter of German Metal veterans Grave Digger ) and Holger Koch (former A&R of Nuclear Blast, Head of International Locomotive Music and business manager of DORO).
The upcoming fourth studio album of the band, active since 2007, will be released in 2026 by the established Cologne-based record company.
SCARLET ANGER will this not only be able to expand their musical reach far and wide, but will also be increasingly active on the live front with experienced label support. After all, the current third album „Martyr” has already received glowing reviews worldwide as a competently produced in-house production, which can now be optimally built upon.
Flashback from Metalville Records itself:
The big record companies and their mergers are a momentum of today.
In the independent sector, we missed the spirit of the “old days”. It's the love of music that made companies like Sub Pop or Motown into legends.
We could no longer feel such an atmosphere after the turn of the millennium.
That's why we founded our own small label, Metalville, in 2008. The commercial aspect is emphatically secondary. The highest priority is the music and the musicians who can still play handmade Rock music. A slight retro touch is intentional.
We try to create a healthy mix between the generations. With Astral Doors, we have succeeded in establishing a classic rock band with a modern sound right from the start of the label. We are also proud of Ugly Kid Joe, who trusted us to shape their career once again after 15 years.
In the following years, more and more bands such as Kärbholz, The O'Reillys And The Paddyhats or the crossover heroes of Dog Eat Dog have joined us on the road or are still doing so. Thanks to our long-standing good relationships with the North American market, we were also able to win the platinum-crowned Rock legends Lee Aaron and Foghat for our label.
A real highlight in the history of Metalville is certainly the collaboration with Sweet, who trusted us to release their last studio album of their long career together with us. But the next generation also needs to be supported - we accompany bands such as Reliquiae, VA Rocks and The Headlines to the next stage of their careers. After years of passionate work, we can proudly look back on over 400 Metalville releases with chart success in Europe, the USA and Japan.
