Sentiment Dissolve: Ontario tech death act confront anti-abortionists on “Forced Birther”; album ‘The Orwellian Dream’ comes 24 May via CDN Records

Canadian tech death metal band Sentiment Dissolve will unleash their debut album, The Orwellian Dream, on 24 May via CDN Records. The London, Ontario-based four-piece is now streaming “Forced Birther,” the album’s opening track as the second single from the album.

In a bold statement, Sentiment Dissolve states:

“We're thrilled to finally be dropping ‘Forced Birther’ into all your holes. This was the last song we wrote during the ‘Orwellian Dream’ sessions, with more of the brutal/slam influences we plan on leaning more towards in our future material.

“Lyrically, the song is about implanting a uterus into a pro-lifer until the offspring violently consumes its host. We wanted to turn the tables on the misogyny that’s rampant in brutal death metal, and give anti-abortionists (or 'forced birthers' as we prefer to call them) a taste of their own medicine.

“We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! Remember: fuck forced birthers, kill them with their own seed.”

Formed in 2021, Sentiment Dissolve may be a newcomer, but the members come with years of experience, with involvement in other projects/bands, including Aepoch, Kavara, and Hell is Other People. Fueled by a collective passion for the loud, extreme and absurd, the London, Ontario quartet takes influence from both classic and modern tech and prog death.

Despite having yet to release any new music, Sentiment Dissolve quickly gained a fanbase in their regional scene with their devastating live performances. Since their first show in the summer of 2022, the band has steadily played across Ontario, sharing the stage with both renowned local bands and international touring acts alike.

The Orwellian Dream, the debut album, delivers finger-twisting complexities with melodic sensibilities and relentless, rapid-fire aggressions, all topped off with a dose of colorful absurdities. Across its five tracks, the album delves into themes of surrealism, dystopia, and transcendence, delivered with conviction and contempt.
