Single out now: The Last Dinner Party "Knocking at the Sky"

The Last Dinner Party are excited to share a brand new single, ‘Knocking At The Sky’, lifted from an extended digital deluxe edition of their critically second acclaimed album, From The Pyre, out today.

‘Knocking At The Sky’ marks The Last Dinner Party closing the chapter on From The Pyre, an effervescent paracosm which has been relived to sold out rooms on both sides of the Atlantic since its release. The track was debuted at Brixton Academy on the final night of the band’s sold-out UK tour in late 2025.

The band add:

“Knocking at the Sky is the final tale from The Pyre. After creating an album about storytelling and worldbuilding we thought it apt to end this act with a story set in the sinister mythworld itself: Los Angeles. Hollywood is the ultimate fairytale; the stakes are at surreal heights, the landscape is unruly and plastic and its populated with a cast of Grimm characters all striving and struggling at the centre of their own hero’s journey.”

‘Knocking at the Sky’ was the last song The Last Dinner Party recorded with Animesh Raval at Crouch End’s Church studios. The track arrives with a music video shot with director Sinclair Bryant in the band’s ersatz LA as an homage to classic cinema; paying tribute to the sirens of Hollywood noir, the scream queens of slashers and skin flicks and the underground world of John Waters.

From The Pyre (Deluxe Edition) arrives one year to the month after the album was first announced via the western-inspired earworm ‘This Is The Killer Speaking’. The recent single ‘Big Dog’ and its spoken-word accompaniment ‘Come All You Beasts’ also feature on the new extended album release.

Rarely off the road since From The Pyre’s launch, The Last Dinner Party recently completed a lengthy headline tour across the USA and this summer will see them play Isle of Wight, TRNSMT, Latitude, Finsbury Park [w/ Wolf Alice], their debut festival headline slot at Wilderness, and a slew of European festival spots before returning to the states for an arena tour in support of Sombr.

The band will also support Olivia Rodrigo when she takes “The Unravelled Tour” to Los Angeles and New York in January and February 2027. All twenty dates are now sold out. The band previously supported Rodrigo at her BST Hyde Park show back in June 2025.

April of this year saw The Last Dinner Party host The Market Place at The MáLà Project, Brooklyn where they invited a hand-picked selection of local artists and creatives to exhibit and sell their work, offering a unique platform to help introduce new and established artists to a new audience.

In addition to The Market Place, the band’s Ribbons for Provisions project has been active throughout their current US tour, supporting local food banks in each of the cities they’ve been performing, with ribbons handed out to volunteers and donors. The band recently raised almost 50,000 for the initiative in the UK and Europe, and have already raised over 40,000 in the US too.
