Single out now: TOMORA "Celebration"

After a blistering summer of festival gigs from Coachella to Fuji Rock, TOMORA (aka AURORA and Tom Rowlands from the Chemical Brothers) celebrate with UK and EU headline dates and a brand new, 5-track EP ‘CELEBRATION’. The new single and title track ‘Celebration’’ is out now.

TOMORA’s ‘CELEBRATION’ EP will be released digitally on 16th October, and physically on 27th November on standard 12” black vinyl, special marbled vinyl, and CD. ‘CELEBRATION’ was recorded by the duo in RAR Studios in Sussex after they came back from their initial packed out live shows.The new songs recorded included two wildly different versions of ‘Celebration’ and a 10 minute version of album closer ‘IN A MINUTE’.

TOMORA on the EP: "Celebration is a privilege. Celebration is a person. Celebration is a funeral and celebration is a ritual. It’s human nature. And it’s a human need. We should all be celebrated, as real human beings."

The release comes ahead of TOMORA’s anticipated live shows in the UK and Europe. The duo played some intimate shows earlier in the year, just ahead of the release of their debut album ‘COME CLOSER’, which were met with widespread acclaim. NME deemed their London show “a fully-rounded dancefloor-smashing experience”, whilst 1883 Magazine dubbed the show “triumphant”.

Released earlier this year, TOMORA’s debut album ‘COME CLOSER’ is a record less about two separate artists finding a fertile middle ground and more the sound of a tenacious duo connecting in the studio and hitting massive creative peaks together. Across the twelve-track album, Tom and AURORA build their own unique space: somewhere they can produce the kind of magic and electricity that comes from flicking through a perfect record collection, flowing from the wigged-out psychedelia of the 1960s to the super-futurism of sounds imagined for the 2060s. The album was hailed “Ear-bogglingly exciting” by The Arts Desk in the 5-star review of the record, and DJ Mag deemed it “exceptional”. NME called the album “exceptional, beautiful and shit tonnes of fun”, whilst DAZED noted “Rowlands’ high-octane dance lineage meets AURORA’s theatrical, larger-than-life vocals”.

ABOUT TOMORA

TOMORA is a collaboration between The Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands and Norwegian artist AURORA. The project builds on a creative relationship that began during sessions for The Chemical Brothers’ 2019 album No Geography, on which AURORA featured on three tracks, including “Eve of Destruction”. Rowlands later contributed to AURORA’s 2024 UK Top 10 album What Happened to the Heart?.

As one half of The Chemical Brothers, Rowlands has released six hugely acclaimed UK No.1 albums and won six Grammy Awards. AURORA has released four studio albums to date and is recognised as one of Norway’s most influential modern artists, with global touring success and over a billion Spotify streams for “Runaway”.

COME CLOSER is TOMORA’s debut LP, written and produced jointly by Rowlands and AURORA. The album creates its own unique world, pairing AURORA’s distinctive vocals and Tom’s unparalleled studio expertise. TOMORA will return to the UK in October, having performed festival dates throughout the year, across the globe.
