Sky Problem has signed with Géographie and will release a new single on October 22.
The latest signing to the Géographie record label (home to Marble Arch, The Bernadette Maries, SCHØØL, etc.), Sky Problem unveils a self-titled track as an introduction to their debut six-track EP, due in early 2027.
The sound sits at the intersection of ambient trance, hazy trip-hop, and light shoegaze—channeling the ethereal spirit of Bowery Electric and Portishead alongside contemporaries like Trickpony and Acopia. Sweeping vocal layers with evolving harmonies open the track before a downtempo beat anchors it firmly in electronic music. A mysterious band to watch closely.
Formed in Paris in 2025, Sky Problem is a Paris-based electronic/trip-hop trio. Comprising Gaëlle Croguennec, Kevin Coeur-Joly, and Ricardo Lepoutre, the band’s music drifts between urban concrete and night skies. They craft a hushed sound where hazy trip-hop, ambient soundscapes, and downtempo beats intersect without ever settling into a fixed form (FFO: Bowery Electric, Portishead, Trickpony).
