Slauson Malone 1 releases new single “Porcelain”

Today, Slauson Malone 1 releases a cover of “Porcelain” by The Red Hot Chili Peppers, a reimagining of the track as a fragile, disorienting piece of avant-garde indie. Filtering the original through his distinctive world of experimental production and emotional unease, the cover finds a new tension in one of Californication’s most understated moments.

This is Slauson Malone 1’s first new release since his acclaimed album EXCELSIOR, his debut on Warp Records, released in 2023. Later this week, the band plays with ear in Philadelphia at The First Unitarian Church on September 17th, presented by Dave P / Making Time Festival. Tickets here.
