Sophia announce unknown Harbours Sring Tour

It took nearly 7 years but in 2016 Robin Proper-Sheppard was finally welcomed back to the stage with a new Sophia album. ‘As We Make Our Way (Unknown Harbours)’ was a grand return to force and the live shows revealed a bigger, louder and more epic Sophia. Backed by longtime drummer Jeff Townsin, Robin recruited fresh faces from the Belgian indie scene and with the addition of Bert Vliegen (keyboards/guitar), Jesse Maes (guitar) and Sander Verstraete (bass) (known for their work with Faces on TV, Hypochristmutreefuzz, Horses & Astronaute) has injected Sophia with a new sense of vigour and a truckload of fuzzy soaring guitars!

“Sophia speelde een afwisselend onstuimig en ontroerend concert dat de toeschouwers anderhalf uur lang sterretjes deed zien.” **** FOCUS KNACK

“Wie kwam voor emotionele wiegenliedjes werd aan gort geblazen door dit vijftal, waarbij drie gitaren om ter wildst uit de bocht scheurden. Wat een muur van geluid!” **** DE MORGEN

This spring Robin and his band are back on tour. Check below for full list of dates.

To celebrate the spring tour Sophia recorded a brand new and blistering version of ‘Bad Man’ This is one of a number of songs the band decided to record on a little day-off day-trip to the studio during our Fall 2016 tour. It perfectly captures the essence of what Sophia is today. FREE DOWNLOAD here
