Summer Breeze - Cancellation and new names

May brings 1 cancellation, namely Betraying The Martyrs, but luckily also a few new names:

Supernova Plasmajets: Now this is about to get colourful. The SUPERNOVA PLASMAJETS have a summerly flight destination: To SUMMER BREEZE 2017 in Dinkelsbühl!

The 80s spring to mind when the quintet's rocking sounds are sent out into the universe. Handmade rock music and emotion-laden vocals that grab the listener and simply spread a positive feeling. The Mannheim-based band pay tribute to the scene's big heroes in their very own, irreverently pink way. Vocalist Jennifer Crush knows exactly how to galvanise each chorus and to give every song a special something (a.k.a. plasma). This is gonna be a fantastic hard rock show!

Randale: Planned in 2016 as an experiment with an unpredictable outcome, RANDALE''s show in Dinkelsbühl turned out to be a success through and though.

The German rock'n'roll band for kids did not only generate a lot of interest among the children who came especially for this show, but also a lot of SUMMER BREEZE patrons with no kids wanted to see the show. This wasn't possible because their 2016 show was booked specifically for kids, but for our birthday party in 2017 fans from all age groups will get to enjoy smash hits such as 'Der Hardrockhase Harald', 'Punkpanda Peter', 'Käpt'n Wurstsalat' and 'Futternapf Pogo'. So don't hesitate to check out RANDALE's so-called “all ages” show. If we know as well as we think, you will have loads of fun rocking out with the guys! Let's go ape disco!

Oceans Ate Alaska: Their name implies metalcore, but this next confirmation is much more than just another core combo from the United Kingdom: OCEANS ATE ALASKA.

Because, beside the genre-typical breakdowns, the Brits also pack plenty of progressive and djent elements into their music, so quite a few people would feel tempted to label them as mathcore. However, this doesn't do the band justice entirely either. Fact is that with OCEANS ATE ALASKA there is an up-and-coming band coming to Dinkelsbühl, about whom you're going to hear a lot in the future. If your thing is controlled noise with progressive elements, you should not miss these Englishmen at SUMMER BREEZE.

Bembers: Viva la revolución! The rock'n'roll Jesus will be returning to Dinkelsbühl with his comedy stage show again in 2017. We are obviously talking about none other than BEMBERS, who blew up our campsite tent last year.

That won't happen this year though! Why, you ask? Because this summer BEMBERS will be preaching the word to the hungry SUMMER BREEZE masses from the Camel Stage. So there's enough room for everyone to show crazy BEMBERS all-out support at his solo show. And you know, whoever engages with the surreal mind of everyone's favourite Franconian is in for a treat! Word!

Steven 'N' Seagulls: You want to drive your party-starved bodies into ecstasy? Then the crazy Finns from STEVE 'N' SEAGULLS will be at the right place at the right time, you agree?

The T Stage will quake with their very own interpretations of big rock and metal classics, with which the band have managed to build a considerable fanbase. But where usually heavy guitars and powerful drums rule, STEVE 'N' SEAGULLS rather draw the banjo, double bass and western guitar, dressing our favourite tunes in an extremely party-compatible and danceable bluegrass attire, which will put a big smile on the otherwise grim faces of even the most narrow-minded metalheads if they have the right drink in their hands. Dear SUMMER BREEZE peeps, let's party until late with STEVE 'N' SEAGULLS setting the pace!

Nile: After last year NILE unfortunately had to cancel their SUMMER BREEZE appearance, they will be on stage in Dinkelsbühl for our anniversary, bursting with Tatendrang.

And still this applies, as always: NILE are a band who don't need to reinvent the wheel, as they have been navigating well with their own brand of egyptologic brutality, crushing everything that crosses their path. A death metal blast whirlwind that simply deracinates and destroys anything and everything. NILE's intentions are just to shatter everything to its foundations. We are about to see the magnitude of the quake that will rock Dinkelsbühl. You just have to look forward to what Karl Sanders and his cohorts will deliver for your eyes and ears. And George Kollias hits the snare once for every meter the river Nile flows through the African continent. This won't be a comfy cruise on the Nile, this will be a wild ride on a tsunami!
