Summer Breeze: Four new names

Summer Breeze had added another fours names to the line-up for the 2016 festival:

ALMANAC

Reinforcements for the Nuclear Blast Label Night! With ALMANAC we present to you one of the hottest newcomers on the Donzdorf label's roster!

However, upon a closer look at the band's line-up, it becomes clear that the term “newcomer” is absolutely out of place here. ALMANAC is a new group masterminded by Viktor Smolski, who didn't want to retire just yet after the demise of RAGE. With musicians like Andy B. Franck (Brainstorm), David Readman (Pink Cream 69) and Jeanette Marchewka (Lingua Mortis Orchestra) he has assembled an illustrious ensemble who deliver a gripping mixture of power metal, classical music and folk on their debut album “Tsar”. Especially fans of the Lingua Mortis Orchestra who can live with a heavier, more modern version will get their money's worth. But all other fans of symphonic metal are also strongly advised not to miss ALMANAC. This band is going to get big soon, wanna bet?

NOCTE OBDUCTA

It's not easy to establish exactly what it is about NOCTE OBDUCTA that has been captivating fans over many years. Is it the dark atmosphere, the melancholy, the experiments or the lyrical refinement? We just can't put it into words. NOCTE OBDUCTA overwhelms the listener with emotions and it soon becomes clear that there is no need to explain what's happening. Because the best way to experience it, feel it and be a part of it is to watch the Mainz-based band at SUMMER BREEZE. The band has a new album ready to be released in 2016 titled “Mogontiacum (Nachdem Die Nacht Herabgesunken)”. In Dinkelsbühl we will find out if the new songs work in a live setting. Come with us on a black metal journey through the whole spectrum of human feelings. An enormous variety combined with a new release make the NOCTE OBDUCTA show a happening you don't want to miss.

TRIBULATION

Lately this newly confirmed band have been tempering their style a bit, but it suits them well: TRIBULATION will be flying in from Sweden just for you!

But hey, talking about TRIBULATION, “tempering” might be a bit of an understatement, but considering the Arvika natives' full body of work, their latest album “The Children Of The Night” is surely their most accessible. And this is not meant in a negative way, because the rock appeal TRIBULATION have added to their dark tunes just makes them so much catchier than it has ever been the case. Not dissimilar to Ghost, these Swedes know how to create super straight songs, yet TRIBULATION's never lack in heaviness, darkness and gloom. See it for yourselves at SUMMER BREEZE 2016!

KATATONIA

These guys are also among the SUMMER BREEZE audience's favourites, and in 2016 they will fly in straight out of Sweden to Dinkelsbühl for just one festival show in Germany: KATATONIA!

The Stockholm dark metal masters are currently working on a new album, so there's hope we will be able to hear some brand new songs alongside the old classics at SUMMER BREEZE 2016. Those who have been following KATATONIA's musical evolution know that there is reason enough to be curious about their new direction. However, there's no need to worry that the dark aspect of their music might get lost... Here's hoping that the band gets spared the technical problems in 2016, so there's nothing in the way of another impressive KATATONIA live set at SUMMER BREEZE. Looking forward to this highlight!
