Summer Breeze: More new names
New names have again been announce for Summer Breeze 2016:
SAILLE
There's always room for some symphonic black metal, don't you think? Well, then the next band should be right up your alley: SAILLE will come to Dinkelsbühl in 2016.
The Belgians already have three albums under their belts, all of which were released by the small Italian label Code 666. They are probably not available in every shop, but it is absolutely worth searching for them. The band's melodic black metal is second to none. Because SAILLE master all the trademarks of this genre: besides lightning speed blasts, they often change tempo, the vocals reach from black metal shrieks to death growls to clean vocals. The whole is presented in an epic, bombastic fashion with a dense atmosphere. And what is special about SAILLE: they play the classical instruments themselves. Those who had never heard about SAILLE should definitely check them out in Dinkelsbühl – scene connoisseurs have already marked the date, right?
BURNING DOWN ALASKA
The good old ascending (career) path, in the case of BURNING DOWN ALASKA, started in Recklinghausen. In a very short time the five guys were already active on an international level. New wave hardcore of the first order. Any discussions about German bands having a chance or not in the international hardcore and metalcore arena can confidently put to bed now, because in their brief history BURNING DOWN ALASKA have already amassed an impressive list of concerts played. Again and again they prove that their live shows are full of passion, which is quickly passed on to the crowd. Come around and see for yourselves!
DYSCORDIA
Hailing from West Flanders in Belgium, DYSCORDIA are coming to SUMMER BREEZE Open Air 2016.
Straight grooves and gripping melodies are the foundations of their songs, and the Belgians know exactly how to surprise their listeners again and again. And it's all positive surprises which make up the Kortrijk sextet's progressive power metal. You can literally hear each of the band members' passion, be it in intricate song structures or in escalating melodies – a varied journey through the world of power metal is on offer. Jump on board!
ACCU§ER
ACCU§ER hail from a citiy called Siegen, which in German means “to win”, and the band sound confirms that we are in for a win. Intelligent thrash metal, yet rough around the edges, a storm is coming our way. Back in the late 80s, at the beginning of their career, ACCU§ER were among the biggest names in thrash, and after reforming in 2008 the band have regained their initial momentum. There is nothing in the way of a huge thrash attack at SUMMER BREEZE Open Air with the confirmation of this band. Shake your hair, shout along and get your arse kicked until you leave the site – ACCU§ER make it possible.
GRAVEYARD (ESP)
When speaking of the Costa del Garraf, most people dream of Barcelona's beaches and romantic walks along nicely lit promenades. Others, however, think of death metal and headbanging attacks that make your necks burn. GRAVEYARD feel more comfortable with the latter. These Catalans have been playing uncompromising death metal since 2007. It's all about horror, the Lovecraft universe, death and damnation. Good clean fun. Barcelona's GRAVEYARD will teach you a lesson or two in old-school death metal. Horns up when the old school delivers their death metal, because even the dead will dance!
