Support the Solidarity Ticket and make live music accessible to everyone.

In Brussels, one in three inhabitants is living with an income below the poverty line. The priceless experience of going to a concert isn’t something they can take for granted. That’s why AB launched the Solidarity Ticket campaign in 2022. Through various activities, it collects money with which to offer people living in poverty or deprivation the chance to enjoy a concert at AB. In just over two years, about 3755 Solidarity Tickets have been distributed. These are free or affordable tickets for people who have trouble making ends meet.

AB is committed to fighting deprivation and hopes to expand on this crucial project. It is once again calling upon its audience to support the fund. That’s possible via a donation on the AB website, a free contribution when buying a ticket, or via ‘cup money’. For every cup that ends up in the grey bins during an AB concert, 0.10 will go to the fund.

These Solidarity Tickets are distributed via about twenty trusted partner organisations. They can request free Solidarity Tickets for any concert from our programme and distribute them directly to the people for whom they are intended. Brussels Platform Armoede, Chez Nous/Bij Ons, D’Broej, De Schakel, Globe Aroma, Les Biscuits, Pigment vzw and Sister’s House Brussels are among the organisations AB works with. This ensures that the tickets only go to people who truly need them.
