Swappi: “Ana”

Trinidadian stunner Marvin “Swappi” Davis delivers his signature dancehall-soca swag for the 2017 Trinidad Carnival season with his breakout Afrosoca hit “Ana,” now available worldwide from all major digital retailers (released October 14, 2016), from FOX FUSE.

Swappi brings a heavy Caribbean flow to the energetic, groovy carnival anthem, which was penned by Swappi alongside acclaimed Trinidadian songwriters Dale Ryan, Emmanuel Rudder and Kit Israel. It was produced by Lunatix Productions, which consists of talented producers Alexander Gooding, Richard Gosine and Josh Coomansingh.

“The reception of the song has been excellent and the feedback from fans has been amazing – the best I’ve experienced in years, not only in the digital world but during live performances as well,” reveals Swappi. “I was doing dishes one day when the rhythm came to me, and I didn’t have lyrics, just the melody. Then the hooks came to me while I was driving around in my car, and I went into to studio and worked with Dale, Kit and Emmanuel and we came up with the rest of the song.”

The jam has been taking over airwaves and playlists across soca platforms worldwide and is now available internationally for soca lovers everywhere to enjoy. The audio-only videos on YouTube have garnered over 200,000 views collectively, adding to the global momentum of the mystical “Ana.” An official music video is currently in production with location shoots around Trinidad, and will be released after Christmas, as a present for his fans.
