Swedish AOR-pop / yacht rock artist and producer Glamour Hammer announce his upcoming EP with the new single 'Why Don't You Call Me!'

Glamour Hammer is the nom de plum of Swedish-based producer, songwriter and vocalist Adam Jonsson. In the comfort of his home studio, Glamour Hammer swings back and forth between creating dance-oriented disco house and jazz-infused dream pop with a sense of escapism and tongue-in-cheek attitude while always aspiring for a sense of timelessness and analogue feel. Drawing inspiration from a multitude of genres the most influential are 1970s-80s Funk, Disco, boggie, Classic rock, Latin rhythms and Afropop. Recent singles has got support from the likes of Dancing Astronaut, thissongissick.com and many more, and has really started the lounge packed nu-disco world to take notice of his arrival to the party.

The new single "Why Don't You Call Me?" could be described as Modern Gospel Pop and would easily fit in on the chart of a Adult Contemporary radio station among the likes of Lionel Richie and Billy Ocean. Or imagine Gloria Estefan and Marvin Gaye being locked up in recording studio with a bunch of seasoned RnB session musicians resulting in some kind of Latin goes Uptown. The theme is friendship, the fear of losing friends and being in a one-sided relationship. Adam explains:

- "I've been in this situation a couple of times, feeling as if I'm the one pulling all the weight. Wondering If I'd stop calling would we even talk again ever? This song is about that frustration and disappointment and I think many people can relate. I've also come to realize how close friends have gotten fewer as I'm pushing further into my thirties. I simply don't have as many people in my life these days which is a bit sad. So I guess my message with this song is to cherish the close friends you've got and don't take them for granted. Find time to nourish those bonds and keep the friendship alive!"

After the release of his 'Tropical Suite Pt.1' in the end of 2020 Glamour Hammer followed that with collabs. and remixes from the likes of French electronic disco mastermind YUKSEK and internationally acclaimed EDM-producer Oliver Nelson, who both remixed his work. The single 'Is It True' was also part of the compilation Too Slow To Disco presents: Modern Daytime Disco released by City Slang (non-exclusive license) alongside ie. Kraak & Smaak, Poolside, Prep, Yuksek, Luxxury. With the new single 'Why Don't You Call Me?' we now get a first taste of the upcoming second chapter 'Tropical Suite Pt.2' which is due early 2022.
