Luke Elliot brings together 150 voices on Lift Me Up
Luke Elliot’s new single Lift Me Up is a calm, melancholic hymn with a thread of hope running through it. Its verses carry moments of doubt and quiet resolve, while the choruses open into a collective plea: “Lift me up.” For the recording, Luke invited fans and choirs to record their voices online. Around 150 people contributed, their individual recordings brought together to form the song’s choruses. In a message thanking the participants, Elliot wrote: “There’s an enchantment about this piece. The sound of you all singing as one fucked up, incongruent, glorious choir will move a lot of people.”
Alongside Luke’s vocals, the recording features synthesizers, programming and backing vocals by Freddy Holm, with Bebe Risenfors on bass clarinet and cornet. The single was mixed by Holm and mastered by Alex Wharton at Abbey Road Studios.
Lift Me Up arrives on November 6, 2026, ahead of Elliot’s forthcoming album The King of Rock and Roll, released March 12, 2027.
