Tacoblaster - New single "Plan B" out now // fifth LP out January 30

Bordeaux-based garage pop band Tacoblaster unveils 'Plan B', the second single taken from their fifth album Digital Fun-Zone! set to be released January 30, 2026 on Flippin’ Freaks Records, Howlin’ Banana Records and Les Disques Du Paradis. It follows frenetic single 'Toxic Surfer'.

The last track recorded with producer Stéphane Gillet (TH da Freak, Pretty Inside...), in a liberated state of mind where the details matter less than the urgency to play, 'Plan B' embraces a lo-fi sound, as if patched together with whatever was at hand. Guitars run through a cardboard amp, drums recorded on a phone - everything is done to keep a raw, instinctive energy. Tacoblaster draws inspiration from lo-fi garage rock and the pop synths of Digital Leather, as well as the Australian slacker punk of Skeggs.

The song dives into that feeling of not really knowing who you are or what you are aiming for - no plan B and not even a proper plan A - yet still pushing forward by recording songs and playing live. The video, directed by visual artist and musician Lal Tuna, follows a character wandering through their city, bored, pretending to be "normal" without really knowing why, until a simple poster reignites their passion and gives their everyday life meaning again. Visually, it nods both to the nocturnal and colorful atmosphere of Eyes Wide Shut and to the fun and DIY spirit of videos by FIDLAR, Skeggs, or Hockey Dad.
