Talk Show Share “Dirt In The Keyboard” (Baby Rollén Remix); “Touch The Ground” EP Out Now

Today, London-based four piece Talk Show shared a remix of "Dirt In The Keyboard" a track off their recent EP "Touch The Ground", by London DJ/producer Baby Rollén. The track is the second remix the band have put out from "Touch The Ground", following "Leather" (Walt Disco Remix), with more to come.

Released through Missing Piece Records, "Touch The Ground" was produced by Joe Goddard (Hot Chip) and Al Doyle (LCD Soundsystem, Hot Chip), and earned fans at NME, BrooklynVegan, DIY Magazine, The Line of Best Fit, Atwood Magazine, and many more.

"Hearing this ‘Dirt In The Keyboard’ remix, being taken in a totally different direction, was genuinely a big surprise", says Talk Show frontman Harrison Swann. “I’ve loved how the material we’ve worked on for so long, which had a specific intention, is getting this new life breathed into it and ultimately finding a completely new form. It’s been really inspiring giving the tracks out and hearing what comes back. Baby Rollén smashed it".

In a recent conversation with The Line of Best Fit, who described the EP as "rooted in the world of dance and techno, thrashed out live with grit and guitars" frontman Harrison Swann laughs, "Techno My Bloody Valentine, that’s a sick description. Fuck me, that needs to go on the press release".

In NME’s 4 out of 5 star review of the EP, they stated, "Informed by classic rave sounds, the four-piece's second EP is their most demanding and musically adventurous release yet... the London band initially found their home amidst their city’s post-punk crowd, but across the six tracks on ‘Touch The Ground’, they explore a 90s’ dance-inspired world of wild, gleeful guitar lines and techno drum beats. Here, clearly, is a band who are unafraid to try something different: the resulting EP sees them evoke both the fluid rhythms of Underworld and the contemporary trend of sprechgesang, a vocal delivery that flits between speaking and singing, and is used heavily by the likes of Yard Act and Do Nothing".
