Tethra launches a dazzling metal rendition of Vanessa Charlton's pop phenomenon A Thousand Miles

After the critically acclaimed and noticeably successful first two singles (the powerful "The Hourglass" and the mesmerizing "Forever Ablaze"), which launched the group’s career to a progressively gradating rate, contemporary metal quartet Tethra is back with a surprising rendition of one of the most recognizable songs in the popular culture nowadays – the unmistakable Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles”! Rather a full re-imagined, transformed version of the original, rather than a simple cover, this extravagant adaptation is the utilized approach chosen by Tethra to showcase the band’s undeniable versatility and technical and songwriting prowess, ultimately delivering a product, which presents the group’s ability to create high quality songs that possess completely different characteristics and traits than the ones that have been usually associated with the band’s essence so far, further bringing attention to Tethra’s desire to continuously seek development, variety and unwillingness to fit under conventional norms and genre restrictions. Commenting on the band's creative decision to deliver this project, Tethra adds: "Many of us in the band are fans of the pop goes punk type of covers. We wanted to do something similar, but more outside of the box. "A Thousand Miles" was a song I loved when I was younger. At first, we thought it would be funny to do. Quite honestly, we had no idea how it would turn out and were a little nervous. When we heard the final product, we were pleasantly surprised! Transposing a song like this and adding one's own artistic touch is quite a learning experience."
