“The Book of Mysteries”, the new album by Dolezall
Following the success of “Dark Tales from Medieval Times”, Chilean band Dolezall returns with their third studio album, The Book of Mysteries. A ten-track journey through some of humanity’s greatest unsolved enigmas. From Jack the Ripper to the origins of vampirism, the band delves into dark history with a powerful blend of rock, melodic metal, and power metal. According to the members themselves, this is their strongest work to date.
“Unsolved mysteries have always captivated me,” says drummer and band leader Carlos Dolezal. “There’s a tension in these stories. Suspenseful, eerie elements that lend themselves beautifully to music, especially the style we play. Writing about figures like Jack the Ripper or the Blood Countess Erzsébet Báthory pushes you to create lyrics steeped in darkness and horror.”
The album was produced by Dolezall’s guitarist, Nicolás Arce, with all lyrics written by Carlos Dolezal. The lineup is rounded out by vocalist Felipe del Valle and bassist Rainer Hemmelmann.
