The Bots The Making Of ‘2 Seater’ Documentary

LA-based rock band The Bots are pleased to present the first installment of The Making of ‘2 Seater’, a three-part documentary series detailing the making of the band’s first album in seven years being released on Wednesday, September 8th via Big Indie Records. Featuring interviews and skate footage of frontman Mikaiah Lei, the first part of The Making of ‘2 Seater’ looks to reintroduce The Bots, their new music and worldview after their half decade-long hiatus. Lei had the following to share about the album and documentary:

“’2 Seater’ is a very personal collection of songs about my life over the last seven years. Recording them in Austin at Electric Deluxe Studio with Adrian Quesada and Aaron Glembowski was an equally personal experience. I am so grateful to have documented the whole experience".

Produced by GRAMMY Award-winning producer Adrian Quesada of Black Pumas, 2 Seater is the brainchild of musician Mikaiah Lei and is a multi-style body of work that captures the struggles of his young adulthood. Each of the 10 tracks that make up 2 Seater were written between the ages of 19 and 22 when Lei was undergoing a rapid burst of self-growth. Now, as a 28-year-old, Lei has rewritten and recorded those songs to articulate themes he struggled to find words for back then: the ups and downs of young love, the need to nurture friendships, and the sentimental work of taking care of yourself each day.
