The Close Encounter Club returns with Live In Orbit featuring Feet and Katy J Pearson

The Close Encounter Club have announced the line-up for their second run of Live In Orbit sessions, featuring FEET and Katy J Pearson.

Starting on Thursday 5th November, and continuing fortnightly, each show will see a support band and a headline act premiere on The Close Encounter Club website from 9pm (GMT). The full line-up for this run of sessions is as follows: FEET, Katy J Pearson, The Mysterines, Chappaqua Wrestling, Rainn Byrns, LIME, Phantom Isle and Slant.

Speaking about their experience at The Close Encounter Club, first week headliners FEET say: “We were warmly welcomed - sporting masks of course - into the Battersea Art Centre, which we’ve never had the pleasure of playing. The whole crew patiently waited while we bickered on stage to decide on a setlist and determine which of our old songs we can actually still play. We’re grateful for the experience of playing on a stage for the first time in 8 months it was a much needed change from cobbling together a practicing and recording setup in our living room, so thanks for that. I’m hoping it won’t be another 8 months till the next.”

It follows on from The Club’s first immersive two-way live stream, which took place earlier this month, where the bands performing were able to see and hear their audience at home.

The first run of Live In Orbit sessions earlier this year saw performances from Mercury Prize nominees Porridge Radio, indie darling Willie J Healey and Ivor Novello winner Mysie, as well as a whole host of other acts. It’s available to watch back on The Close Encounter Club YouTube channel now.
