The Coral – You And Me (And The Beautiful Sea)

Almost three years after their last headline tour dates and 30 years since they came together as a band, The Coral release nostalgic visuals for the contemplative, campfire hymn to their past, present and future, You And Me (And The Beautiful Sea). Ahead of their 388 UK & Ireland Tour getting underway next month, the band has collaborated with filmmaker, James Slater, the director of their acclaimed 2025 documentary, Dreaming of You: The Making of The Coral, on the emotive, seaside-shot short film.

Now including a celebratory homecoming show at Liverpool’s O2 Academy on Sat 31 October 2026, The Coral are set to play more songs from their surprise-released album, 388, after road testing select cuts over a busy summer of festival appearances. Also including a return to London, playing Koko on Fri 16 October 2026, plus a trio of arena shows with The Mary Wallopers, the run of ten gigs brings the band together with fans to celebrate their shared history through timeless hit singles and their most recent, acclaimed releases.

Recorded over two weeks, focusing on impulse, accepting imperfection and going back to their roots, 388’s release in May went unannounced and unreleased digitally as The Coral worked free of excess and expectation. Following the physical formats-only launch, stocked in independent record shops for two weeks, the band revealed 388’s existence to the wider world with the release of the single, Let The Music Play, followed later by Leave It In The Past. 

By training the lens on the stripped-back, simple declaration of enduring togetherness that is You And Me (And The Beautiful Sea), The Coral bring focus to one of 388’s lynchpin tracks.
“It’s the song that really provides the thread to the past, the present, and the road ahead,” says the band’s keyboardist, Nick Power. “An ode to the magic of songwriting, memory and friendship. We instantly decided it should be recorded live, without much instrumentation: three voices and a guitar. Campfire music.”
With hand-picked support artists joining them on the road, welcoming Mozart Estate, founded Lawrence of Denim and Felt, and The Zutons’ Dave McCabe to select venues, all of The Coral’s confirmed 388 UK Tour dates are as follows:
