The Datsuns announce new album 'Moonstruck Man' - out 13 November
The Datsuns will release their eighth studio album Moonstruck Man on 13th November via V2 Records.
Time marches on, and so do The Datsuns. Despite an ever-changing musical landscape, the band continues to draw on a lifetime of experience and an enduring mastery of rock 'n' roll, delivering new music with the energy, power and joyful ferocity that have always defined them.
Upcoming single Run From The Sun, released on 18th September, is a heavy, hypnotic and spacious slice of desert rock. Driven by a bluesy bassline and killer fuzz riffs, the track combines the chunky force of 70s hard rock with the dreamy, expansive atmosphere of psychedelia.
Previously released single and title track Moonstruck Man is a gloriously rambling slice of 1970s-inspired rock packed with wailing wah, scorching guitars, high-register vocals and flashes of prog and glam-rock eccentricity.
Moonstruck Man promises to deliver another collection of driving, riff-heavy rock 'n' roll. It was created across three countries and recorded at several studios throughout Sweden, including Studio Gröndahl, Gold Halo, Kiki's Castle, Livingstone Boudoirs and Riddarborgen.
The Datsuns' current line-up features Dolf de Borst on lead vocals and bass, Christian Livingstone on guitar and vocals, Phil Somervell on guitar, and Adam Lindmark of Swedish hard-rock ban Dead Lord on drums.
