The Hu Announce European Tour Dates in 2020

The Mongolian Hunnu-Rock phenomenon, The HU, who combine traditional Mongolian instrumentation and throat-singing with modern heavy rock, have announced tour-dates throughout Europe in January and February 2020. Pre-sale starts: Wednesday 18th 10am. General on sale: Friday 20th 10am.

This year the band made their European live debut as part of a sold-out 23-date European summer tour, comprised of 15 sold-out headline shows plus 8 festival appearances that included highly-acclaimed sets at Rock Am Park, Rock im Ring, Tons of Rock, Graspop and others.

Their debut album "The Gereg" is out now via Eleven Seven Music and widely expected to be the first Mongolian band to enter the UK Top 40 and a top 5 rock album chart entry.

Since release on Friday 13th September, "The Gereg" has been dominating European iTunes and Amazon Charts. Achieving #3 Album Globally on iTunes, #1 Alternative Rock, and #4 all releases on Amazon UK. On iTunes ‘The Gereg’ is #1 All Genres in Sweden, Finland and Hungary and #1 Rock in UK, Sweden, Finland, Hungary, Netherlands and Switzerland, and #2 Rock position in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Austria, Norway, Czechia, Belgium and Poland.

The album's title, "The Gereg", takes its name from the term used for the first diplomatic “passport” issued by the Mongol Empire during the time of Genghis Khan. The Band believe this album is their passport to the world and will allow them to travel sharing their music.

"The Gereg" contains viral sensations “Yuve Yuve Yu” and “Wolf Totem” which have racked up over 40 million views to date on YouTube! It also includes the newly released track “The Great Chinggis Khaan” which was premiered with the epic video about the story of Chinggis Khaan as he is portrayed in Mongolian culture - an inventor and a founding father of the country, rather than the worldly view of him as a warrior and conqueror - and live favourite “Shoog Shoog”.
