The Immediate Family announce re-airing of StageIt.com concert due to overwhelming demand

The Immediate Family, a rock & roll band composed of long-time friends and legendary musicians Danny Kortchmar (guitar & vocals), Waddy Wachtel (guitar & vocals), Leland Sklar (bass), Russ Kunkel (drums) and Steve Postell (guitar & vocals) recently released their debut EP Slippin’ and Slidin’, and it has officially debuted at #6 on the Billboard Blues Charts.

“This EP was a labor of love, and we couldn’t be more proud of the result,” stated The Immediate Family. “We are thrilled that fans have responded positively and seeing the release on the Billboard Blues Album Chart is a great surprise, with much more new music coming soon!”

To celebrate the release of Slippin’ and Slidin’, the band recently performed live on StageIt.com with a rousing success. Due to overwhelming demand from fans around the world and in honor of the band’s Billboard Chart debut, the show is being re-aired on 13 November at 8pm GMT (London) / 9pm CET (Paris, Berlin) / 12 pm PST (California). Slippin’ and Slidin’ features some of the group’s most well-known songs, including “New York Minute” and a live version of “Werewolves of London,” both of which were co-written by members of the group. The EP’s title track, “Slippin’ And Slidin’,” was released as a single in September, and music video for the song also premiered online via Uncut Magazine. The first single from the EP, “Cruel Twist,” was released in June and premiered via Rolling Stone. “Top of the Rock” rounds out the track list.

Commenting on the EP, Mojo Magazine notes, “It’s pure rock’n’roll by a band of assassins who aim to groove and never miss their target.” “...a collection that rock guitar connoisseurs will savor.”

The Immediate Family, which was formed approximately two years ago, has been performing live and has released new music in Japan, Asia and the U.S. QVR signed The Immediate Family to a multi-album deal and, along with more music coming early next year, a Denny Tedesco documentary about their iconic careers is also in the queue for release in 2021.
