The Immediate Family release highly anticipated second EP "Can't Stop Progress", out now

Today, The Immediate Family are happy to release their highly anticipated second EP, "Can't Stop Progress" via Quarto Valley Records. Produced by The Immediate Family, Can’t Stop Progress is the follow-up release to the band’s 2020 U.S. EP debut Slippin’ and Slidin’ that entered The Billboard Blues Chart at #6.

Comprised of five original songs, Can’t Stop Progress features the first single and title track that showcases the band’s pure rock and roll essence. The song was co-written by band members Danny Kortchmar and Waddy Wachtel, alongside former Heartbreakers drummer Stan Lynch. Rock and Blues Muse cited, “The Immediate Family lights up and goes all-in on the band’s edgy new single “Can’t Stop Progress.” Made up of studio legends Danny Kortchmar (guitar and vocals), Waddy Wachtel (guitar and vocals), Leland Sklar (bass), Russ Kunkel (drums), and Steve Postell (guitar and vocals), the group sounds rocking and socially relevant on the gravelly track that takes on the inevitable challenges of modern life.”

Building upon the success of The Immediate Family’s first U.S. EP Slippin’ and Slidin’, released in fall 2020, the new five-song EP Can’t Stop Progress gives fans a deeper look into their music. Can’t Stop Progress EP is a bridge to the band’s much-anticipated U.S. full-length album to be released in late 2021 on Quarto Valley Records, as well as an upcoming documentary by filmmaker/director Denny Tedesco. Film release date TBD.
