The Waeve announce new 'Eternal' EP with new single 'Love Is All Pain'

The WAEVE (Graham Coxon and Rose Elinor Dougall) have announced the release of a new 3-track EP titled ‘Eternal’, set for release via Transgressive on 14th March 2025, with first single ‘Love Is All Pain’ out now. Listen here, watch video here.

Produced by James Ford (Fontaines D.C., Arctic Monkeys, The Last Dinner Party, blur) , the three new tracks on ‘Eternal’ mark the follow up to the band’s acclaimed two albums, The WAEVE (2023) and City Lights (2024).The propulsive first single ‘Love Is All Pain’ features the ever-harmonic duet of Rose and Graham on vocals, plus throbbing electro synths and irresistible top lines which come as a warning sign to hopeless romantics everywhere this Valentine’s Day.

Directed by Simon Leeder, the video for ‘Love Is All Pain’ was shot entirely on black & white 8mm film in a nod to the post-punk synth-era aesthetic of the late 1980s, and captures the band on location around Southmere Lake at Thamesmead, South East London’s iconic Brutalist estate, last month.

The announcement comes ahead of the band’s upcoming UK headline tour which kicks off next month on 16th March in Glasgow and will see the band visit Manchester (18th March), Sheffield (19th March) and Bristol (21st March), as well as a headline show at the iconic Camden venue KOKO on 20th March 2025. Last month, the band released a new live album titled ‘Live from the City Lights Sessions’, available digitally on Transgressive Records. Listen HERE. The record features Graham and Rose joined by a full live band as they perform all 10 tracks from their acclaimed second studio album ‘City Lights’ in London’s Crouch End Studios, a special opportunity for fans to experience the songs in a whole new dimension. The live album release follows the performance film series, City Lights Sessions, directed by Natàlia Pages, which artfully captured every song on the album.
