The xx at Rock Werchter 2026!

Time for a new name on the Rock Werchter 2026 line-up! The xx is returning to Rock Werchter, and that's big news. The three members are currently spending a lot of time in the studio, where they are working on new music together. Let yourself be carried away by The xx's minimalist mix of indie rock, electronica and dream pop on Friday 3 July. A comeback that will make our hearts beat faster!

The xx was formed in London in 2005. Romy, Oliver Sims and Jamie xx knew each other from school. Their debut album, “xx”, was released in 2009 and received rave reviews. With follow-ups “Coexist” (2012) and “I See You” (2017), the band grew into one of the most influential acts of their generation, without ever losing their characteristic intimate sound. After a long period of silence, marked by solo projects of all three members, they are now reunited. The xx previously played at Rock Werchter in 2010 and 2012. Their return is eagerly awaited.
