TheCityIsOurs has dropped their latest single, 'Freak Like You', an electrifying anthem about embracing individuality and defying societal norms. With gritty soundscapes and raw, powerful lyrics, the track resonates with anyone who's felt out of place, offering a message of unapologetic self-acceptance. 'Freak Like You' continues the band's exploration of personal struggles, delivering a bold statement of empowerment.
This release comes ahead of their highly anticipated album »Will You Still Love Me?«, set for January 31st, 2025, promising more anthems and emotional storytelling.
"Freak Like You is for the people who are never afraid to be 100% themselves, no matter how weird, loud, boisterous, feminine or queer they are. As they were always a light at the end of the tunnel for me growing up. I was made fun of growing up any time any sort of flamboyancy or queerness showed and it was engrained into me to be as quiet and hide it as much as possible to avoid any sort of teasing which has been hard to break off from and is still something I'm working on. But I'd like to end up being someone younger or anybody who is ashamed of their sexuality can look to who were feeling the same as me growing up" - Oli Duncanson (vocalist)
