These are the Universal Music artists nominated for the GRAMMYs

Universal Music Group, the world leader in music-based entertainment, received the Grammy nominations for its family of recording artists, songwriters, publishing company, record labels and distributed partners spanning nearly every category, with Jon Batiste, boygenius, Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, Coco Jones and Billie Eilish at the top.

Universal Music Group’s Global Classics & Jazz labels have achieved a remarkable 16 nominations, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year for Jon Batiste. Jon Batiste’s six nominations follow his five wins at the 64th GRAMMY Awards, which included Album of the Year for WE ARE.

Boygenius is nominated for six Grammy awards as a band, with an additional nomination for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical (an engineers’ award). Lana Del rey, is nominated five times, Olivia Rodrigo received six nominations in the categories Album Of The Year, Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Rock Song. Billie Eilish is nominated four times for her Barbie “What Was I Made For?”. Coco Jones receives five nods, including “Best New Artist”.

Breakout musician and fellow Verve artist Samara Joy, winner of Best New Artist at the 2023 GRAMMYs, received a nomination for this year’s awards for Best Jazz Performance (“Tight”). Her song “Lush Life,” arranged by Kendric McCallister was also nominated for Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals.

Critically-acclaimed artist and fellow Grammy winner Arooj Aftab scored two nominations for Best Alternative Jazz Album (Love in Exile) and Best Global Music Performance (Shadow Forces) for her trio recording with Vijay Iyer and Shahzad Ismaily, on Verve Records.
