Tinariwen announce details of Inside / Outside EP

Tinariwen have announced details of the release of the Inside / Outside EP through Wedge on Monday November 17th 2014 (Digital release 6th October). The EP features 5 previously unreleased acoustic tracks which were recorded in the Joshua Tree desert while the band were working on their most recent album, Emmaar.

Following a days recording, the band would often jam both inside the house in which they were staying and also outside around a campfire. The acoustic EP captures the intimacy of these moments in the Californian desert.

Hugely celebrated and acclaimed, they released their debut album, The Radio Tisdas Sessions in 2001, and over the past decade they have continually toured the world, picking up some of the most respected music awards, including a BBC Award for World Music in 2005, the prestigious Praetorius Music Prize in Germany in 2008 , the Uncut Music Award in 2009 for Imidiwan: Companions and most recently a Grammy for their 2011 album Tassili.

Having earlier this year played two sold-out shows at London’s Village Underground and ore recently appeared at the Glastonbury, Latitude and End of the Road Festivals, they return to the UK in November to play the Roundhouse in London. Tour dates Belgium below.
