Toine releases his debut EP June 10th

On June 10th, the Dutch singer-songwriter and guitarist TOINE releases his self-titled debut EP. With single ‘I Can’t Take It Back’ TOINE caught the attention off both the listener and the radio. The success of the single led to a contract with Amsterdam based label Vokall Records, 300k streams and airplay on national radio. Worldwide renowned sax player Candy Dulfer supports his music as well: “TOINE is amazing! He plays and sings fantastic. I’m excited for the release of his first EP! A multi-talent with soul, guts and lots of passion!”

Musically the EP follows the sound of ‘I Can’t Take It Back’: TOINE’s soulful voice and tight rhythm guitar skills lean on a catchy blend of pop, jazz and a thick layer of funk. Dutch Radio 2 host Jeroen Kijk in de Vegte leaves no doubt: ‘‘Funk with a capital F!’’ Also top Radio 10 DJ Gerard Ekdom gave airplay to 'I Can’t Take It Back’. The track entered the prominent Top 50 of NPO Radio 2 Soul & Jazz.

With focus single ‘True Love’ TOINE continues promoting the EP. In this song he sings about the emotional memories of the moments and places which he shared with his ex-love. But also he gives hope, because true love will always finds its way.

TOINE is accompanied by a strong group of musicians. Bassist Udo Pannekeet plays in the legendary band Focus and tours with Lucy Woodward (Snarky Puppy). Drummer Niek de Bruijn worked with Charlie Hunter among others. Rein Godefroy handles the keyboards. Pannekeet and De Bruijn produced TOINE’s EP. The mastering was done by Sander van der Heide who previously worked with rock hitmachine Anouk. For the artwork of the EP TOINE hired photographer Daphne van Drenth and graphic designer Leroy – Le Roi de Trois.

On 10 June TOINE presents his debut EP in PAARD in his hometown The Hague. A club tour will be announced.
