Tom McRae shares new single
'Kick It All Into The Fire' is released today, available on all streaming platforms via McRae’s Buzzard Tree Label. The track precedes McRae’s 25th Anniversary Tour (full band) celebrating his Mercury nominated debut album, and the first vinyl issue of his acclaimed second record Just Like Blood. Brass driven and fiercely rhythmic, 'Kick It All Into The Fire' shows McRae pushing against the confines of the “singer-songwriter” label that has often followed him. While his early work earned a reputation for intimacy and melancholy, this new song is just as dark but more defiant — a howl at the collapse of empathy, the decay of democracy, and the rise of the machines. Built on horns, pounding drums, and controlled fury.
The single marks the beginning of McRae’s first full-band tour since 2015, opening in London on November 20, before heading to Brussels (AB, November 22), Amsterdam (November 23), and across Aarhus, Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Lund, and Paris.
McRae has long shared a deep connection with Belgium, and his shows at the Ancienne Belgique have become legendary among his fans there. The upcoming Brussels concert promises to be one of the emotional high points of the tour.
