Tusky releases new record 'Pure Heart Sounds'

Pure Heart Sounds was born out of the band’s desire to celebrate their deep-rooted love for punk culture. While their previous albums always featured some explosive tracks, this EP is a full-throttle celebration of the raw energy that defines Tusky.

“This is our statement, fully crafted by ourselves with no compromises,” says drummer and producer Bas Allein Richir. “We wanted to say what needed to be said without overthinking or over-polishing," adds frontman Vladimir Stevic. "The process felt like a return to our roots. From writing to recording, it all came together in a way that filled us with energy."

The band’s mission was to capture a sound that is unfiltered and authentic: raw, direct, and stripped of any excess. The result is a dynamic collection of tracks that perfectly showcase Tusky’s signature energy and sincerity. “We’ve learned that sometimes it’s better not to overwork things but just to say what needs to be said,” emphasizes bassist Quirin Wijgers.

Recorded in their self-built studio, the EP is made up of eight high-energy, unpolished tracks packed with meaning. Guitarist Sjors van Reeuwijk adds, “This record comes straight from the heart – and you can feel that in every note.”

Introducing the new single Ways of the Worried by Tusky, a punchy anthem that hits the sweet spot between raw energy and emotional depth. This track dives deep into the complexities of parenting—where fierce love and genuine intention meet the constant struggle of "getting it right." Drummer Bas reflects, "It's about raising kids. It's fucking hard! You want to give them something valuable, you’re doing your best, but you don’t want to suffocate them with your good intentions."
