Twenty One Pilots deliver an incredible finale to East London festival

Sunday 30th August: The 2026 edition of All Points East 2026 festival closed with a powerhouse performance from GRAMMY Award-winning band Twenty One Pilots.

In a stellar year of headline sets from Jorja Smith, Tems, Lorde, Tyler, The Creator, and Deftones (as part of Outbreak Festival), the Grammy Award-winning US duo topped a curated bill which featured Wunderhorse, Ren, Gang of Youths, BBNO, PVRIS, LEAP and more.

Headliners Twenty One Pilots took to the stage amidst roars from a huge audience, many of whom turned up early for their spots in the crowd. From the off, the Ohio duo had fans singing at full volume. Opening with their high-energy 2024 track ‘Overcompensate’, singer Tyler Joseph thanked the crowd: “We’re Twenty One Pilots. Thank you so much for coming to this show. We absolutely love coming here to play music for you.”

The set drew heavily from albums Blurryface, Clancy, and Trench, and it was the first time they had played ‘Robot Voices’ from Breach, with guitarist Emi Grace, who performed her own set earlier in the day. The band recognised the whole day’s epic line-up, reading out the name of every act who played.

The concert’s staging was unique. Drummer Josh Dun performed perched atop a specially constructed tower next to the main stage, while they also made use of a fire-lit second stage out in the audience.

The band also surprised with covers including The Beatles’ ‘Let It Be’, Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ and The White Stripes’ ‘Seven Nation Army’.

Fan-favourite anthems ‘Chlorine’ and ‘Ride’ kept the mass singalongs going, and a very rare outing for ‘Downstairs’, before an explosive finale of back-to-back hits ‘Stressed Out’ and ‘Trees’.

Earlier, Cornwall-formed heavy rockers Wunderhorse closed the West Stage with a blistering set spanning two albums. Opening with the title track from their second album, ‘Midas’, frontman Jacob Slater asked the crowd: “How are you doing?” Before adding: “This is the last date of the run for us. We’re feeling pretty ragged, but we’re going to give you everything we’ve got!” Fan favourite ‘Butterflies’ and recent single ‘The Rope’ garnered huge reactions, with the tender ‘Silver’ providing another highlight.

Canadian rapper bbno walked out to a frenzied crowd in the North Arena to a remix of the British Transport Police’s 61016 announcement before launching into ‘bag TF up’. A “London how we feeling tonight” resulted in a deafening cheer, which was instantly matched as he transitioned from his song ‘yezzir’ into Charli XCX’s and Icona Pop’s ‘I Love It’

Fast-rising, genre-hopping talent Ren made the most of the East Stage’s park setting with a playground roundabout on stage: “Hello London. Hello All Points East. It’s good to be here.”

With a wail of guitar and bass, arms were in the air in the North Arena for Nova Twins and guaranteed bangers like ‘Cleopatra’ and the siren scream of ‘Taxi’.

Aussie rockers Gang of Youths lifted spirits with a sermon-like set on the West Stage. During their set, frontman David Le'aupepe paid mention to a late legend; picking up an acoustic guitar he said: “We’re not going to play a Dolly Parton cover, but I used to live in Nashville, and my partner is from North Carolina. So that hit us pretty hard.”

Massachusetts pop-rock outfit PVRIS led crowd singalongs for their East Stage set. Lead singer Lynn Gunn exclaiming, “What’s up! How’s it going? The next song is called ‘Oil & Water’. It’s a slower one.”

Manchester’s Hot Milk stormed the stage, with bangers including ‘Swallow This’ and ‘The Horror Show’. Singer Han said: “Hello gorgeous individuals, can I see the sun? Can I see your hands in the air right now? It’s coming out. This is beautiful.”

After dj SAVSSOUNDS warmed up the crowd, LEAP burst onto the East Stage with raw rock and roll with the likes of ‘Show Me The Way You Love’ and ‘Play Dead’.

Singer Jacky said: “Okay, All Points East, are you guys ready to get a little bit fucking crazy? Let's do it then.”

Earlier in the day, sets on the West Stage included Jessie Murph, half•alive, Josie Edwards.

Last weekend, Jorja Smith and Tems were the opening headliners for All Points East 2026 on Friday, before Lorde on Saturday and Deftones at Outbreak Fest on Sunday. Tyler, The Creator played his two headline sets on 28th and 29th August, with Twenty One Pilots on Sunday 30 August. Lido Festival takes place on Bank Holiday Monday (31 August) with headliner Maribou State.

Winning ‘Festival Of The Year’ at the Music Week Awards and ‘Line-Up of the Year’ at the UK Festival Awards, All Points East 2018 boasted headline sets from LCD Soundsystem, The xx, Björk, Catfish & The Bottlemen, The National and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

East London’s beautiful Victoria Park in Tower Hamlets also hosts a hugely popular community-focused event each year. In The Neighbourhood, in collaboration with Tower Hamlets Council, hosts a vibrant programme of activities and entertainment, working with the local community, businesses, organisations and suppliers. Previous activities have seen something for everyone - eco-friendly creative workshops, free yoga sessions, street food, open-air movie nights, themed drag shows and film panels with Richmix. Everything is free, and 2026’s programme will be announced in the new year.

All Points East continues to work each year with local charity the Tower Project to give volunteer opportunities to young people with learning disabilities and autism on site at the festival, as well as providing education and performance opportunities to the students of nearby ELAM arts and music school. Committing to 100% renewable energy, working towards eliminating single-use plastic from all serve-ware and programming upcycling workshops for children during In The Neighbourhood are further examples of the commitment to the local community and the park.
