Twin River Share "I'm Alright"

'When We Think About Time' EP out September 9th

Twin River today share the second single, “I’m Alright”, to be taken from their forthcoming EP When We Think About Time. “I’m Alright” is out now on all music services. When We Think About Time is set for release on September 9th via Light Organ Records.

Speaking on “I’m Alright”, Courtney Ewan says “I remember feeling like I had nothing left to lose after my last breakup. I was left with this sort of strange hybrid feeling of hopelessness and invincibility, feeling like nothing else could possibly affect me so much again. It was kind of thrilling and invigorating, but also a bit debilitating if I caught it in the wrong light. ‘I’m Alright’ is about the first moment you begin to consider another romantic prospect. Putting that first foot forward after a breakup feels like an act of bravery; a likely stupid, reckless, but totally enlivening act of bravery. This song is about leaning into your newfound invincibility but knowing it can just as easily be lost again if you let your guard down.

Twin River’s core members Courtney Ewan (vocals/guitar) and Andy Bishop (guitar) recorded When We Think About Time at the Hive Creative Labs on Vancouver Island with a new team of collaborators: Ladyhawk’s Ryan Peters on drums and Darcy Hancock on bass alongside Louise Burns and Yukon Blonde’s Rebecca Gray who both provided backing vocals. When We Think About Time is produced by Colin Stewart (The New Pornographers, Black Mountain, Dan Mangan)

When We Think About Time is out on September 9th via Light Organ Records.
