Twist Lock Drops Debut Single “Your Mistake” From Upcoming EP Surplus Citizen

Emerging from the deserts of Arizona and Nevada with roots stretching back to Alabama, TWIST LOCK arrives swinging with the release of “Your Mistake,” the first single from the band’s upcoming debut EP Surplus Citizen, due out June 12, 2026.

Featuring current and former members of ATOLL, EYES OF PERDITION, LUNACY, NECRAMBULENT, and NECROBOT, TWIST LOCK strips everything down to its rawest form: slow, heavy, down-tempo hardcore loaded with punk aggression and zero excess. Built on crushing riffs, raw production, and confrontational lyrics, Surplus Citizen channels frustration, anger, and the feeling of everyday people being crushed under the weight of modern society.

“‘Your Mistake’ is basically the tone-setter,” the band explains. “It comes in slow and heavy right away—no buildup, just straight into it.”

Lyrically, “Your Mistake” takes aim at fake personalities, manipulative people, and public figures who hide behind empty words and manufactured images. The track confronts the culture of dishonesty head-on, calling out the snakes in the grass instead of letting them blend in unnoticed.

Produced by TWIST LOCK and recorded at Filthy Swine Productions, “Your Mistake” showcases the band’s no-frills approach: punishing grooves, slamming breakdowns, and an unapologetically hostile atmosphere rooted in beatdown hardcore.
