TX2 Unleashes Debut Track Under Hopeless Records ‘Loaded Guns’

Unapologetic. Honest. Provocative. These are just a few of the words that may come to mind at first listen of TX2’s latest anthem "Loaded Guns". The politically-charged track is a call to arms to evoke real change, (as long as that doesn’t include firearms.) TX2 has long been a proud proponent for gun control, freedom of speech, and LGBTQIA rights. TX2 has built his dedicated digital community off of relatability, and the proof is in the pudding. For anyone who has ever struggled with mental health issues, or felt alone, there is a TX2 lyric that will speak to them. TX2, AKA Evan Thomas, prides himself on injecting authentic stories and experiences from his own life into his lyrics. As someone who is a member of the LGBTQIA community himself, he admits he hasn’t always fit in. His songs document that experience, but really – his stories are about all of us, penned for anyone who has ever felt alone. Per usual - the singer is willing to cause a little chaos with his new track, if that’s what it takes to draw attention to important societal issues. With his new track, he’s making his voice heard loud and clear.

TX2 shares of the track: “Right now there are laws being passed that ban Drag Shows in public spaces, take away the rights of trans youth, and take away the rights of women as well. I’m sick of old white men in our government making laws that that affect things they know nothing about, it’s time for change. I hope listeners realize that our country is being led by old men who are making laws on groups of people that don’t affect them. Just because someone has seniority, it doesn’t make them right. I trust the youth of today much more than I trust the old folk leading our country. It’s time for our country to make some big changes".
