Kevin highlighted, "The song was written by the main character at a very difficult time in his life, and we wanted to capture some of that atmosphere. We had to feel the anger, the rage, the emotion, and that's what we tried to do in our style."

He elaborated on the band's evolved direction: "We're looking to do something different to set ourselves apart, with songs that don't sound the same, that have depth and melodies that stick in your head. We hope that this will work and touch our current and future audiences."
