Legacy Recordings are excited to announce the next Van Morrison catalogue release: a deluxe edition of his 1997 album The Healing Game. The Healing Game (Deluxe Edition) is a three disc collection chronicling the sessions, collaborations and live performances surrounding Van's mid-career masterpiece, originally released in March 1997.

The Healing Game marked an important transition for Van Morrison. After a period of crafting romantic ballads that found mainstream success, Van felt once more compelled to revisit the jazz and rhythm and blues-inspired style that influenced his earliest work. To accomplish this, Van put together a new band that featured such heavy hitters as saxophonist Pee Wee Ellis, Georgie Fame and bassist Alec Dankworth.

The new Deluxe Edition includes the original album plus two additional discs of rare and unreleased material featuring B-sides, session outtakes and duets with John Lee Hooker, Carl Perkins and B.B. King. Also included is the first official release of a performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival in the summer of 1997. Here,
