Warhola lanceert "Aura"

Warhola is the moniker of Oliver Symons, a musical octopus who writes, produces, and performs. Oliver is currently selling out shows all over Belgium with the band Bazart (The Postal Service meets Yeasayer with Dutch vocals) and just co-produced a couple of tracks for up-and-coming Belgian talent Tsar B. But it’s with the mind-bending electronic production and fantastic vocals in Warhola where he really comes into his own.

After winning a local talent competition in 2014 (Humo’s Rock Rally, the same platform that launched dEUS in the early 90ies) Oliver took the time to mold Warhola into shape.

A first single ‘Unravel’ was released last year (“a dark but brilliant piece of electronic-soul” according to Hillydilly.com. “Soaring, propulsive, and atmospheric in equal measure“ applauds Pigeonsandplanes.com) and got acclaimed DOP and photographer Nicolas Karakatzanis (who shot the Oscar nominated feature film ‘Bullhead’ and ‘The Drop’, staring Tom Hardy and James Gandolfini) to reach out to Oliver and offer him his services.

Together they worked on the dark, but brilliant artwork and pictures for Warhola’s upcoming new single ‘Lady’ and debut EP (set for release 25 March) perfectly capturing the mood and underlying tension that haunt Warhola’s refreshing take on pop music.
