Wayne Mariette Brings New Gems from Pipa and G-Man
Antigua and Barbuda-based producer Wayne Mariette delivers two gems with “Drink And Lyme” from G-Man and “Come To Antigua” from Pipa, both available worldwide from all major digital retailers on July 17, 2015, with pre-order available now, from FOX FUSE. Both songs are featured on the Water-Hose Riddim, which Mariette reveals has been in the works since 2011 and finally came to fruition after collaborating with these two artists.
Mariette started out as a producer in 2010 and found success quickly by producing the winning song “Kentucky” for the 2011 Antigua Soca Monarch competition, from the country’s youngest soca monarch. “I try to create music that I think bands would love to play live,” discloses Mariette. “Growing up around a music band and also having the natural ability to play the piano by ear have given me a foundation for the position I’m in now.”
Sticking to his mission of exposing local talents, Mariette teams up with Sheldon “G-Man” Dick and Hughon “Pipa” Gonsalves for these soca tracks, which incorporates Antigua’s native benna soca flavors. Both artists also penned their respective tunes.
