We Fog - The single marked the return of the Italian post/math/noise rock band is an urging to look at the world from a broad perspective

On Friday, May 24th, the Italian post/math/noise rock band We Fog is back with the new song Rise To The Sky. As a preview of the second album titled Sequence, set to be released in early autumn, the Veronese project presents a rough and sharp track that invites listeners not to fixate on their points of view and to broaden their perspective on the world.

Its sonic framework was born a few years ago in the rehearsal room from the interaction between Donato Fusco's guitar and Giulio Corradi's drums, supported by Victor Bittencourt's bass, and then perfected in early 2024 by the production of the expert Amaury Cambuzat (Ulan Bator, Faust, I Feel Like A Bombed Cathedral, etc.).

From a content perspective, it's the band itself declaring: ‹‹ It’s the story of a person in extreme difficulty, feeling disoriented and tossed about by events. The turning point comes when he realises what's happening to him isn't true. A narrow perspective was blinding his eyes, while the reality of the situation was much broader and nuanced. ››

The new album Sequence reflects, from its title, the idea of a consequential evolution of We Fog's artistic journey starting from the good things shown in their debut Float (2017, self-production), and the single Rise To The Sky is a perfect representative of it, highlighting all the energy and restlessness that drives the band.
