Whispering Sons | 'The Great Calm' European tour 2024 + 2025

Belgian five-piece Whispering Sons released their album The Great Calm earlier this year through [PIAS] Recordings.

Following the dark, expansive power of 2018’s ‘Image’ and 2021’s minimal ‘Several Others’, the bands third album represented a reimagining and rethinking. Not only did the line up change (they are back to being a five-piece as the band’s long-term engineer — an experienced producer in his own right — Bert Vliegen joined on bass), but the sound did as well. More open, less tense and claustrophobic. Still very much Whispering Sons (hence the albumcover of a melted car wreck), still nerve-racking intense, but with more space, more room to breathe, more room to let the guitars go full on rock.

Today they release a blistering live video of the album’s closing track Try Me Again recorded in Brussels earlier this year.

The band presented the album with select club and festival dates over the summer and is now gearing up for an extensive autumn tour.
