Wim Hof releases debut album "Freedom Into The Depth", featuring “Freedom” with Ekaterina Shelehova

The Wim Hof Method announces the release of Freedom Into The Depth, the debut album by Dutch extreme athlete and wellness pioneer Wim Hof. Released on March 6, 2026, the record marks a new chapter in Wim Hof’s lifelong exploration of breath, resilience, and inner awareness, extending his practice into a fully realized musical work.

The album was released via Smart Box Office Ltd (SBO) and distributed by Kartel Music Group, positioning the project within an international independent music framework. Developed over three years, the record reflects a close creative partnership with Tahir Burhan, an accomplished classical, traditional and flamenco guitarist and composer, who produced the album.

Having performed together for over six years, most notably within Wim Hof’s sold-out live wellness events, Wim Hof and Tahir Burhan translate a shared language of sound and physical awareness into a cohesive listening experience. Blending rock, electronic and world music, Freedom Into The Depth unfolds through layered compositions built on an eclectic palette of global instruments and sonic textures.

At its core, the album channels the principles of the Wim Hof Method—breath, cold exposure, and mental focus—into a sonic format. Wim Hof’s voice, rhythmic and meditative, becomes the central element guiding the listener through a sequence of compositions designed to encourage introspection and connection.

Focus Track: “Freedom” (feat. Ekaterina Shelehova)

The lead single Freedom" features Ekaterina Shelehova, the only guest artist on the album. A Russian-Canadian soprano and composer, Shelehova is recognized for her ethno-operatic style. A graduate of the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan, she gained international recognition following viral performances on Italia’s Got Talent and Spain’s Got Talent. She has toured as lead vocalist for the ERA project and collaborated with composers such as Hans Zimmer. Her voice has also featured in major film soundtracks and video games, including Atomic Heart.
