Yaeger releases second single Cast Away from upcoming debut album

Earlier in May, one of Sweden’s most promising music exports, Yaeger, kicked off a new era with the single Take it! Take it!, which she described as the first act in her new world. Shortly after, she embarked on a summer tour, performing at festivals including Roskilde in Denmark. Now, she takes us further into the second act of her story with the new single Cast Away, out now. This is her second single from the upcoming debut album Pirate Bae, which will be released in early 2026.

"Do you remember Flight 29 Down? That type of beat! You'll get it if you check out my YouTube. Cast Away is about feeling abandoned, shipwrecked. You've ended up somewhere you didn't choose yourself and you're forced to shake hands with fate and make destiny your bitch. And you're probably grateful that it turned out just like this."

Cast Away is produced by Sebastian Furrer and Federico Pinna, and written by Yaeger together with Linus Wiklund and Noonie Bao.

On August 10, Yaeger will perform at the Italian festival Ypsigrock.

In the fall of 2023, Yaeger had her major breakthrough with the EP Jaguar, which included tracks like Water Pistol, Lupins In Blue, and Ciao. Her success continued in 2024 with 38 shows across Europe and Scandinavia, Grammy nominations in the categories Composer of the Year and Alternative Pop of the Year for Jaguar, and an ELLE Gala award for Best Dressed Woman of the Year. She also released several singles, including Devil Mode and Habits (Stay High), and received the Sweden’s Music Publishers’ Award for Breakthrough of the Year.
