Youth Killed It release new video for "What happened?"

Youth Killed It have released a new video for the single “What Happened?”, taken from their upcoming album “Modern Bollotics”, out May 12th 2017 via Rude Records. Physical pre-orders are available here. For the digital version, click here instead.

“The track and video are a story about coming of age and growing up. Suddenly one day you're laying in bed, thinking about where the last 10 years have gone and you realize that leaving adolescence behind is the single most significant thing to happen to you” explains frontman Jack Murphy.

“You go from worrying about having the coolest trainers (the ones with the lights were the s**t in my opinion) or who's got the rarest Pokemon card, to juggling responsibilities like money, rent and bills. As a kid, having 50 felt like you were an absolute baller. You could do anything you wanted. As an adult, there is that realisation you pay much more than 50 per month, on tax alone. Some of us were lucky enough to have a massive group of friends at school that you would see every day. Now, you have a select few who you can only see on the rare occasion you're all available. We all take our younger years for granted and spend the rest of our lives imagining what it would be like for it to be that simple again.”

The band will be supporting their new record on a UK tour, so make sure you catch the band on one of the following dates:

  • 11.05 - London, Boston Music Room
  • 13.05 - Southampton, Hanger Farm Arts Centre
  • 14.05 - Manchester, Satans Hollow
  • 15.05 - Leeds, The Packhorse
  • 16.05 - Leicester, The Shed
