Yoyoya - singles "Damemoto" and "Déjà Vu" to be released today!

«Alpenglow» may be Yoyoya's debut album, but it is far from the musicians' first studio experience. The Lausanne collective includes Thats Xayachack (Brutus, Lity Pisc), Olivier Schubert (Brutus, Ventura), Christian Pahud (Honey For Petzi, Larytta), as well as a collaboration with artist Delphine Bovey, who wrote the album's lyrics, visuals and music videos. Together, they deliver «Alpenglow», a collection of 9 magnificent and contemplative songs.

On «Damemoto» the band finds the perfect balance between Michael Jackson and Phoenix. The lyrics evoke the theme song of Japanese anime, with a chorus in English that keeps coming back to haunt you throughout the day.

The 70s pop-inspired single «Déjà Vu» sets a languorous and romantic tone. The lyrics are in French, with a deliberate American accent, to play on the clichés of love songs. The track serves as a perfect example of Yoyoya's mastery of pop codes, while injecting great elegance into the arrangements.
