Z3LLA drops new single “Pick Up The Tempo”

Z3LLA unleashes “Pick Up The Tempo,” an electrifying Dance Pop track packed with punchy drops, razor-sharp synths, and pulsing techno-inspired beats. It’s the duo’s second release on Dim Mak, following May’s “Origami”, a soaring progressive anthem.

“‘Pick Up The Tempo’ is a song with pop vocal elements but an infectious darker electronic sound for us,” Z3LLA shares. “It’s as if Tate McRae made a song for a 2am warehouse rave. This song screams lust to us and that’s what we were aiming to convey with the lyrics, melodies, vocal production, and track.”

Fueled by gritty techno rhythms and a lust-fueled pulse, the track is perfect for late-night dancefloors and underground sets. Z3LLA expressed their excitement to bring that energy on stage with them: “We’re so excited to be singing this one live at select shows on our recently announced Phase 2 of our tour.”

“We just kicked off Phase 2 of our tour with some amazing shows in NYC and Cleveland, with one of the Cleveland dates playing alongside Galantis, who we previously played with at Brooklyn Mirage,” the duo adds. “After teasing ‘Pick Up The Tempo’ on socials for the past couple months, getting to sing it live as the very first live vocals experience at a Z3LLA show was a surreal moment! We can’t wait to keep that energy going and perform it again, along with more new music at select upcoming Phase 2 stops. We’re especially excited for Breakaway Festival this fall in Juj’s hometown of Philadelphia.”

With its seductive edge and thumping club-ready sound, “Pick Up The Tempo” solidifies Z3LLA’s place as a rising force in the next wave of genre-blurring electronic pop.

“Pick Up The Tempo” is out on Dim Mak July 3rd.
