Today, Alberta Cross release the new single "Nothing Out There" and accompanying video shot with Super 8 cameras while on tour with Johnny Marr – buy/stream the track HERE. Watch the video HERE.
The new track is a slamming, upbeat, new indie/rock track from Alberta Cross. Recorded in the heart of Hackney, London and mixed by NYC’s Claudius Mittendorfer (Weezer, Temples, Johnny Marr, Panic at the Disco, Interpol) - it was written about being nostalgic, and how people struggle to live in the present. “I had a great time recording this rocker of a song in Hackney, East London with my dear Alberta Cross family” says Petter Ericson Stakee.
Alberta Cross released their latest album “Sinking Ships” this year, which saw the support from BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, Billboard, Rolling Stone and Classic Rock among others. Alberta Cross recently toured with Johnny Marr across the UK.
Alberta Cross will be performing three shows in the Netherlands this October. Check the dates below.
- October 14th @ Wanderloss Festival (Maastricht, NL)
- October 17th @ Tivolivredenburg (Utrecht, NL) – with Lov3less
- October 18th @ Der AA-Theater (Groningen, NL)
Alberta Cross were formed by Swedish-born lead singer and guitarist Petter Ericson Stakee and his London pal Terry Wolfers in the mid-00s. Their anthemic Americana-tinged songs possessed a vulnerability and earthiness, and it soon showed in how hugely their debut record ‘The Thief & The Heartbreaker’ began to connect. What followed was success on both sides of the Atlantic and the relentless grind of US touring that comes with it. They embarked on high-profile jaunts with Mumford & Sons, Portugal. The Man, Neil Young, Them Crooked Vultures (Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and John Paul Jones) and Rag N’ Bone Man and performed on distinguished TV shows around the globe, appearing on The Late Show with David Letterman, Last Call with Carson Daly and more, whilst their tracks were featured on hit TV shows such as Million Little Pieces, Sons Of Anarchy and Californication.
