Friendship and its hair-tearing moments, with love written permanently beneath the aggro, forms the inspiration for The Eggmen Whoooooo!’s latest track release, Rwy’n Dy Garu Di, a mantric, roughed up gem of piano-stabbing, squally-guitared psych-punk with a heart of gold. Lifted from their forthcoming debut album Fuzzy Eggs, Please – released on Strangetown Records on Fri 25 October 2024 – the song casts back to the studied abandon of past singles to provide nothing less than a guarantee of the soon-to-be-revealed long-player’s first-class quality.
Crawling over terrains previously occupied by the 20th Century’s greatest redeemed dropouts, from the blissed out, oceanic minds of Arthur Lee and Love and The Beach Boys, the leather and bubble gum punk of The Ramones and disjointed, romantic strummers of the nineties, Teenage Fanclub and Pavement, The Eggmen Whoooooo! dismantle their favourite records to offer listeners a new one to treasure.
Never requiring any encouragement to return to their native language, the band expresses what it is to have friends that drive you mad on Rwy’n Dy Garu Di, which follows previous track releases, I Don’t Care and Eggman v Hellboy into the big wide world
The Eggmen Whoooooo! has brought together Welsh musical titans, El Goodo, Los Blancos and Trecco Beis, together with producer, Thighpaulsandra (Spiritualized, Tim Burgess) to create the freshly cut expression of everything the band has heard before. Permanently pursued by the voices, production quirks and tall stories that emanate from their own unbeatable record collections, The Eggmen Whoooooo! offer Fuzzy Eggs, Please up as a deadly serious and playfully flippant expression of their fandom, humanity and musicianship.
Joining Benedict E Frye as The Eggmen Whoooooo! are Gregg Boyle, Sheldon Advocaat, Thom Lett, Gwyn Ŵy and Sue Flay.
Fuzzy Eggs, Please will be released on vinyl, CD and digital formats
